Genevieve Potts, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC

Genevieve Potts FNP-BC was raised in the Rio Grande Valley and relocated to San Antonio in 1990. Genevieve graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word and began her career as a Registered Nurse at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, in 1994, working in the Emergency Room. She later went on to serve the community as a Home Health nurse before returning to the Emergency Room at North Central Baptist hospital in 2002.

Genevieve returned to school in 2005 and graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where she received a master’s of Science degree in Nursing, graduating with honors, Sigma Theta Tau, and is currently a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has had additional training in the field of Rheumatology through the American College of Rheumatology’s Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Postgraduate Rheumatology Training Program.

Genevieve has a husband and two children. Her hobbies are swimming, biking and spending time with her family.

Marizu Borrego, PA-C

Marizu Borrego MPAS- PA-C was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. She has lived in San Antonio for the last seven years. Marizu attended medical school at Universidad de Monterrey from 1995-2000. She has an Associate in Arts Degree from Southwest Texas Junior College, where she was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. She then graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Sciences and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. There she was a recipient of The San Antonio Hispanic Foundation scholarship. As a physician assistant she has worked in family practice and pain management.

Marizu loves to spend time with her son. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and listening to music.
